An Amazing Summer Vaca in Nola!
Before heading off to college my brother and I wanted somewhere to go where we have never been before. We decided that New Orleans would be a great place to explore and so it was. The first day we went into the city and explored Bourbon Street as well as went to Cafe du Monde to try our very first beignets.
They were even better than I had imagined. For dinner, we had to taste a po boy. The first day was a very successful and cultural first day. The next day we explored a huge sugar plantation and saw some shot gun houses. These were both great sites to see in this new city. Attached I am going to show you some pictures from these houses and the spectacular view from the plantation terrace. Our last and final day in New Orleans we went to where the floats are made for Mardi Gras.
To see how much time and effort goes into the process really made me want to come back again to see these floats in action. I know that I will come back to Nola. It was a great cultural experience that I won't ever forget.
