Catch of the Day - Cape Cod!!

My Drug of Choice
About this time last month I was out on Cape Cod, Mass. My girlfriend’s family has a house way out by the tip by Provincetown so we frequently go out there to fish and spend quiet time by the ocean. I have a favorite beach I love to go to but haven’t caught any fish there in over a year (since we don’t frequent the cape during the winter).
Walking along the beach, I could only think about how lucky I was to have sand under my feet and cool ocean spray on my face. It was sheer bliss and to top it off I saw, way down the beach, a small school of stripers feeding on peanut bunker. I ran down the beach with my rod to get involved in the commotion, threw my line in the water and reeled in our appetizer for the evening (see attached).
I can’t think of anywhere I’d rather be or anything I’d rather be doing. It’s a place where I can clear my thoughts and leave the little troubles of life behind. Isn’t that what travel is all about anyway?
