Choosing a Holiday Club at Anfi del Mar, Gran Canaria
The popular coastal strip between Arguineguin and Puerto Rico on the south coast of Gran Canaria is home to many exclusive timeshare resorts, but Anfi del Mar offers arguably the most luxurious and exclusive holiday experience in any of the Canary Islands.
Situated on the stunning shoreline of La Verga and carved into the volcanic rock of the Gran Canarian cliffs, the Anfi del Mar complex includes four holiday clubs, each of which share an array of top class amenities. Founded in 1988 by Norwegian entrepreneur Björn Lyng, the resort has grown to become an impressive landmark and a benchmark for quality timeshare holidays.
The only real concern for those planning a timeshare holiday to Gran Canaria is which of the resorts four holiday clubs to choose from. Each offers fantastic luxury, although Anfi Beach Club is generally regarded as being the most lavish of all, with vast marble interiors and huge balconies. All apartments offer spectacular views across the sea, with visitors also having Club Puerto Anfi, Club Monte Anfi and Club Grand Anfi to choose from.
They all roll out onto a beautiful private, sandy beach, but if shore-side life isn’t quite your thing then the Anfi Group have yet more to offer. A few miles inland, set among the eye-catching volcanic rock formations lies Anfi Tauro, a luxury golf resort lined with beautifully appointed private villas and modern, swanky apartment buildings that offers an ideal sunshine retreat for those interested in buying timeshares.
Golfers are known to particularly enjoy the setting of Anfi Tauro, with the pristine green fairways expertly designed to nestle among some crystal clear water hazards, elegantly sculpted sand bunkers and the spectacular mountainous cliff faces that mainland Gran Canaria is well known for. The course is a world class facility, capable of hosting championship tournaments and acting as a great challenge for experienced golfers and novices alike.
Tauro is also well placed for hikers and cyclists to explore the exciting mainland of Gran Canaria, which was formed from volcanic rock and offers a stunning backdrop to various walking and cycling routes. Anfi del Mar on the other hand is more ideally located for those who like to explore the bounty of the sea, with the warm and inviting North Atlantic Ocean offering opportunities for thrill seekers to enjoy various water sports from windsurfing to speedboat rides.
