Passport requirements for children - What name to use?

Passport requirements for children - What name to use?

Passport requirements for children - What name to use?

On the passport application what name do I put? My son is only 9 years old so I'm doing the requirements and application for him. Since he is underage and I am applying on his behalf, does that mean I should put my name on the application as a parent?

Answer:

Hi there,

Even though your son is only nine years old, you still put his name down on the passport application. The passport will be issued to your son so they need all of his details regardless of how old he is.

Once you are done with the application and requirements you will then go to an acceptance agent at your local post office. Do not sign your son's application form until you are there in front of the acceptance agent who will witness you signing the form.

If there is anything else you need to know about getting your child a passport, just let us know.
