Signed my US passport incorrectly

Hi, I need help because my husband signed my passport by accident. We both needed to sign ours but he wasn't paying attention and signed mine! I'm worried now that if we travel there will be a problem. Should I contact someone about this to correct it?

Hello,

As far as I know you simply need to draw a line through the wrong name and put your initials. Then you put your own signature wherever there is room on the signature field. If there isn't any room left to put your signature then you should contact the Passport Agency.

You can call them first before jumping to conclusions as they may be able to ease your worries without you having to replace your passport. I'm assuming there is room to put your signature so you should be OK.
