The Lost Amateur Traveler Inside the Beautiful Istanbul

by Mayang Arum Anjar Rizky
(Jakarta, Indonesia)

In the Midst of the Summer Flowers

In the Midst of the Summer Flowers

In the Midst of the Summer Flowers A Pathway of Hope Tale of the City We're All Brotherhood

I’ve always been an amateur because I was always hungry for life experiences. I traveled to Turkey last summer. As a young delegate from Indonesia at the international congress didn’t break my spirit to enjoy the journey of a series of unforgettable moments.

Meeting various young people from all over the world, interacting with them and exchanging ideas. Jointly establishing ideas that the world needs a helping hand since youths have a responsibility to create a better world future. Istanbul as a connector between East and West, its diversity, and the thousands of people from all over the world surrounded in it, assured me that the world is not that small.

Many things in the world that we can explore and the differences that exist within is a sign that human beings inside have a similarity, namely “diversity”. And that’s the thing that we should respect each other.

Grammar errors, spelling errors, decent story.

Not for me, had a bad experience in Istanbul that tainted my view on it.

Really? I don't think that it's poor. Maybe she just wanted to tell something with a different way. Not that classic.

Inspiring!
by: Shezad

Dear Mayang, your travel might be very inspiring as it looked on your photos and your writing. Thanks for making me proud of my country. I don't live in Istanbul but I live in Turkey and you made me feel happy as you wrote about my country. I know that event, 5th World Youth Congress, the event brought many young people from any countries here. Thanks!
