When is the best time to book your trip to Tanzania?

Without telling you about the specific pro's and con's about each and every flight to Tanzania there are still two main ways to save when you fly if you are really looking to get a great deal on your holiday to Tanzania.

The first method is to book your flight early, by this I do not mean simply book a month in advance. I mean you should book a holiday a year in advance (probably a little over will get you the best price). If you are not sure about this then one thing you can do is look up flights to Tanzania going out in a month and compare them to the prices of ones for next year. You will see a big difference, if you do not then you will want to find a more reputable company.

The second method is to book literally just before you go on holiday. This means that you will need to book it as close as you possibly can. The safest bet it usually two weeks before you want to go, however if you can get one a few days before or even the day before then you will save a good lump sum of money.
Now that these two money saving tips are over, what about the cheapest season for travelling into Tanzania? First a quick breakdown of the seasons:

  1. December to February is the hot, dry season.

  2. February through to March marks the start of intermittent showers.

  3. April and May is the seasons of heavy rains,

  4. and November holds intermittent rain and the possible flash floor.

In truth, there is something to do in Tanzania in each season, which is reason enough to start searching for hotels in Tanzania or the Dar Es Salaam hotels, on the beach. However whilst thinking about the locations of hotels in Tanzania or hotels in Dar Es Salaam, you may also want to think about the price of travelling there.

Unfortunately or brilliantly, depending on your perspective there are so many different attractions in Tanzania that prices do not tend to vary much. For example some things only occur in certain seasons (bird migration and the calving season). The only real cheap time for flights and for booking a hotels in Tanzania is the rainy seasons.

However this in turn will stop most of your travelling. This is because generally speaking the rain starts in the early hours and stops mid afternoon, leaving few hours for good travel and making the roads dangerous for those unseasoned. However if you are more into the Dar Es Salaam's night life or Arusha's night life then the rain will not often, if at all affect you.

Hotel Hint: The Dar Es Salaam hotels are some of the best modern hotels in Tanzania whilst the Arusha hotels hold the oldest hotels in Arusha and exudes that old world feel, whilst maintaining high comfort and standards.
