Where to get a passport photo for US citizens

Is it a problem to take our own photos at home with a digital camera? I don't know where to get our passport photos and we need to apply soon. Any help please!?

First of all, do not take your own photographs at home. Many people try this and they end up getting their passport application rejected.

The US Department of State has very strict standards on how they want your photographs to look. You would have to be very experienced with your digital camera to get your photographs to be of high quality. You would also need a top notch printer.

Save yourself some time and play it safe by going to a store that can make you passport-style photographs. It's quick and cheap, usually under $10.

Some of the stores around the United States that can take your photo are Walgreens, RiteAid, FedEx Office, UPS Store and your local post office.
