India Visa Address Question
I am in college here at Oklahoma but I am originally from Oregon. I am kind of confused by the India application when it's asking about the types of addresses. My real address is at my parent's home in Oregon but I also have an address here in Oklahoma.
I'm trying to figure out which address to list so I can then find which consulate I'm supposed to apply at. I appreciate any help you can give me, thanks.
ANSWER:Hey Stephanie,
It can be a bit confusing with the permanent address and present address questions. Not to mention they want your driver's license to have the matching address.
You are supposed to list your current address where you are now living. But if the address on your driver's license matches either the Oregon or Oklahoma address, I would use that one. That most likely would mean there won't be any questions that come up about listing two different addresses.
As far as jurisdiction goes, if you list your Oregon address then apply through the India visa consulate in San Francisco. Or if you apply with your Oklahoma address then that would be the Houston consulate. Hope that helps, have fun in India!
