King!
After an incredably exhusting day of walking through China Town, Little Italy and seemingly, every other nieghborhood in New York City, we made it to the Museum of Natural History. Now the question is? What can be done in just 45 minutes? ALOT!
We didn't expect to have just 45 mintues to spend, at the museum. We thought they closed later. But, we were wrong. The kids had panicked looks on their faces, and adults were shouting orders to run this way or that! I want to see the shrunken-heads! Lets go to the dinosaur room! Where is the giant whale hanging from the ceiling?
After concluding that no one was agreeing on which way to run, we all took off with our own child to see what we could see! In the end, everyone saw their favorite exhibits. We didn't get to stroll slowly along, or meditate and wonder in front of each exhibit. But my 7 year old son had the chance to stand toe to toe with the "King of The Dinosaurs!" That was enough to make the visit worthwhile.
As we were ending our whirl-wind tour, another tourist had me take their picture with a museum guard. It occured to me that the movies had made him as famous as the exhibits he guards! That's kind of cool!
